A new commandment…

By Brian Willis

Thou shalt not find fault with this Administration’s pet programs… or thou shalt be smote!

It seems that finding millions in waste isn’t always a good thing.  Read below to find out what happend to Gerald Walpin when he found such waste in Americorps.

Updated by Mike: I don’t think it was the fact that he found waste.  I think it was more about the fact that the waste embarassed a politically connected supporter.  If it was some random government employee, finding the waste may even have been celebrated.  The bigger issue here is that so much money works its way through the government.  What’s a few tens of millions to be split amongst friends?  It’s barely a rounding error in the federal budget.  Shink government, shrink the corruption.

You ignore the fact that the complaints against him from the board lead back into the Bush presidency, and this investigation pre-dates President Obama.

During his tenure (under both presidents), Walpin apparently had a history of “finding waste” but not necessarily being very forthcoming on evidence supporting why the spending was deemed wasteful.

The entire board of directors of the AmeriCorps company he oversaw, as well as representatives from Congress and the DOJ all endorsed this course of action before the firing took place.

Hey Coleman, where did you get your info? Better research again.

Obama stinks and you will soon find out for yourself.

    Goodluck to you
