THE GREAT RUMOR – HEALTH CARE FOR EVERYBODY IS A HUMAN RIGHT
I admired Ronald Reagan, one of the greatest Presidents the United States ever had, when I still was imprisoned in one of those large jails, called the German Democratic Republic, or as you may know it East Germany. Everybody who tried to leave that paradise of the Socialist Workers Class, without the allowance of the leaders, got killed!
His view on Socialized Medicine is right to the point. I know what I’m talking about because I had to live it for almost 30 years of my life.
Mr. Obama and all of you Senators and Congressman and Congresswomen if you really belief with all your heart that everybody needs to be included in a Socialized Health Care System, please move to Europe live there and enjoy the great system. But please spare us the story that, you’re able to found that utopia by taxes paid by the rich people. Because within a few years you won’t have enough rich people to pay for it. By the way, could you please define “rich”. On the other hand, you may have invented the “perpetual mobile” of the finance because as I understood Mr. “genius” Biden, you’re now able to avoid bankruptcy by spending more money you have and going deeper in debt.
Can I get a license for that system? I promise you to pay you 150% license fee from the profit I earn with that system. And please DO NOT offer me a printing press because I already learned that this is illegal.

So true Harald. Freedom is not free, and either is Health Care. It’s our own responsibilities. The Democratic position is that 50 million people have no healthcare. I, and hundreds of thousands know the following: of the 47 million NOT INSURED:
15-18 million are illegal aliens
10-12 Million are “self insured” or rich enough (over 70,000$ a year) to pay cash !
10-15 million are students who should have “student HC” but fail to enroll in any…
So….
the maximum uninsured are 8-12 million who qualify for MEDICAID!
STATE FUNDED Insurance for the POOR – S-Chips– etc.
Please give us an example, names dates, times and circumstance where ANYONE IN THE USA has DIED because they had no HEALTH INSURANCE!
This Trojan Horse of Government control and Socialism must not pass and destroy our nation. We have the best Health Care in the world.
We DO need government regulation of health care pricing so we don’t continue to get gouged, and pass tort reform to free the doctors to practice without dibilitating malpractice costs. 2010 is coming, and Middle America has had it with huge spending and deficits and trillion dollar debts and ballooning Government.

For fifty years we had an upper-level tax rate that was above 50% and very much higher than what is proposed with this tax increase. That did not stop people from becoming rich in this country, nor did it stop this country from being prosperous.
It seems you also should have not slept through History class either. Come to think of it, considering your post on “Lunch”, mathematics wasn’t necessarily a strong subject of yours either.

I am tired of arrogant individuals trying to classify where the un-insured are at. Some of us have worked hard all of our lives and have found our dwindling paychecks absorbed by increased utility costs, increased food costs, increases in the cost of sending a child through public school, incresed costs in fuel for our vehicles (required to get to work), and increases in property taxes to fund our schools. The worst of increases comes in health care insurance. That has soared. When your paycheck has a cieling, and normal living costs rise, eventually you come to the point that you have to start cutting back. Where do you cut? Food, gas and utilities are a needed commodity. Health care costs, on the other hand, have exceeded the average home mortgage. I would by far rather have a roof over my head than to sit in a hospital emergency room knowing that I will have a huge bill even though the sky-high insurance premium was paid. Bottom line: Our insurance industry is out of control. Don’t blame those who find they can’t afford it. Blame the greedy insurance companies who have made it that way. I say let the government jump in and give those companies an uneven form of competition. Maybe it will wake them up.

davecatbone, 18,000 people die every year because they don’t have health insurance according to the national institute of medicine. That is six 9/11’s every year. Actually I think they have a newer number that is at 20,000 people. Just google it!
Are you all opposed to Medicare too? That is a single payer system, not socialized medicine. The Democrats aren’t proposing “socialized medicine”. You have no idea what you are talking about. They aren’t even proposing a single payer Medicare-for-all which still would have private delivery, though they should be.
A Medicare-for-all system is supported by a majority of doctors, nurses and the American people. Health care has been declared a human right. 25 million people are under-insured.
I find it disgusting that you would want to see any American suffer, die or go bankrupt so that private insurance companies can make a killing with a Pay or Die system that is a a bureaucratic nightmare, wasting $350 billion—close to a third of all health care spending on things that have nothing to do with health care—overhead, underwriting, billing, sales and marketing departments, huge profits and exorbitant executive pay.
Wake up! 50-60 Americans die every single day because they don’t have health care. How many more suffer? According to this 1/3 of Ohioans and people across the nation delay needed care because of costs.

Health care costs are the number one cause of bankruptcy in this country.
Are you pretending that Raygun and Bush didn’t create huge deficits and ballon government? Oh yeah, you guys are so non-partisan!

THE GREAT RUMOR – HEALTH CARE FOR EVERYBODY IS A HUMAN RIGHT”
Isn’t it?
Do you not care about others?
Do you wish them to die?
You all forget what our country was founded on! Equality for all!
Scared people like yourselves should go move not us who embrace life and those who take part in it.
