Representatives from local law enforcement and the court system will present an open panel discussion dealing with the heroin epidemic. Many of you may have read or heard about heroin in the news recently. Most, will be surprised to learn that this epidemic is rampant and out of control here in Clermont County. Our panel will be here to provide information and to answer questions.
The panel includes: Prosecuting Attorney Vince Faris, Sheriff Tim Rodenberg, Captain Steve Leahy, Judge George Pattison, Judge Kevin Miles, Judge Tony Brock, and Karen Scherra Director of Clermont Mental Health and Recovery Board. Join us for this important discussion and what role we as informed citizens can play in the solution.
Frankfort Capital Tour and Training

Don’t miss this chance to tour the capital and learn more about the legislative process with Take Back Kentucky. Training will be held at the capital building at 700 Capitol Ave, Frankfort, KY 40601 on February 5 at 8 AM.
You will learn what the state legislature does and the process of a bill from Robert Jankins. Brother Lee Watts will explain his ministry, Boone County Senator, John Schickel will give the legislators perspective. Tour the capital building. Attend committee meetings. Kentucky 2015 Legislative Forum. Presented by the Northern Kentucky Legislative Caucus

The purpose of the meeting is to provide a forum for constituents to offer input on issues during the 2015 Legislative Session of the Kentucky General Assembly.
Every effort is made to accommodate those wishing to address the Caucus. The format for those wishing to speak will require signing in on a first-come, first-served basis, with the amount of time allotted for each speaker determined by the number of sign-ups. To assure there is ample time to hear input on the different issues, multiple individuals addressing the same topic may be asked to select a spokesperson for the entire group.

Opting Out and the 2015 Plan to Remove Common Core
When: Saturday, February 7th 10am.
Where: Mansfield, Ohio north of Columbus
As many of you are aware, there were several roadblocks in Ohio legislative leadership last year, that prevented any success in removing Common Core from our educational system. Many of those roadblocks are gone, but unfortunately, so are some of our allies.
A new plan of action is being formulated, which Heidi will be discussing at this meeting, as well as information needed to successfully opt your child out of the PARCC testing this February.
It’s important that you RSVP for this meeting as soon as possible. It will be held in the Mansfield area, but the size of the venue will be determined by the number attending.
